Arrêtés au lendemain du coup d’état du 26 juillet 2024, les anciens ministres Rabiou Abdou ancien ministre du plan, Hama Souleymane, ancien ministre de l’intérieur, Ibrahim Yacouba ex ministre de l’Énergie et Ahmat JIDDOUD ex ministre des finances, seront remis en liberté dans les prochains jours. C’est le tribunal militaire qui a ordonné leur libération dans la soirée de ce lundi 29 Juillet 2024. L’information a été confirmée par leur avocat Me Illo Issoufou.
Cette annonce intervient seulement quelques jours après la célébration du premier anniversaire du coup d’état qui avait renversé l’ancien président Mohamed Bazoum et porté au pouvoir le Conseil National pour la Sauvegarde de la Patrie (CNSP).
Les ex ministres concernés avaient été emprisonnés après le coup d’état pour « atteinte à la sûreté de l’état ».
