Le Ministre d’Etat de la défense nationale, le général de corps d’armée, Salifou Mody a accueilli, ce dimanche 3 décembre 2023, une délégation de personnalités russes.
Cette délégation a eu un premier tête-à-tête à l’aéroport international Diori Hamani de Niamey avec la partie nigérienne. On note qu’à la tête de cette importante délégation moscovite, se trouve le Ministre délégué à la Défense de la Fédération de Russie.
Aucune communication n’a été faite quant à la suite du programme du séjour de la délégation russe au Niger.
Notons que depuis l’arrivée au pouvoir du Conseil National pour la Sauvegarde de la Patrie (CNSP), les relations entre la République du Niger et la République Fédérale de la Russie semblent se renforcer davantage surtout dans le cadre de l’alliance des Etats du Sahel (AES) dont les pays membres sont confrontés au phénomène du terrorisme.
