Le Président du Conseil National pour la Sauvegarde de la Patrie, Chef de l’Etat, le Général ABDOURAHAMANE TIANI a signé, le dimanche 26 novembre 2023, une ordonnance portant abrogation de la loi n° 2015-36 du 26 mai 2015 relative au trafic illicite de migrants.
C’est ce lundi 27 novembre que cette ordonnance, dont une copie est parvenue à l’ANP, est rendue publique par le secrétariat général du gouvernement qui rapporte qu’elle abroge ‘’la loi relative au trafic illicite de migrants à compter du 26 mai 2015’’ et ‘’les condamnations prononcées en application de ladite loi ainsi que leurs effets sont effacés à compter du 26 mai 2015’’.
Le gouvernement avertit que relativement à cette loi, ‘’aucune réclamation, de quelque nature que ce soit sur la base de la présente ordonnance, n’est recevable’’.
Rappelons que cette loi votée en 2015, indique un communiqué du gouvernement, ‘’sous l’influence de certaines puissances étrangères, érigeait et incriminait en trafic illicite certaines activités par nature régulières’’.
Aussi, relève le même document, elle a été prise en ‘’contradiction flagrante avec nos règles communautaires et ne prenait pas en compte les intérêts du Niger et de ses citoyens’’.
‘’C’est en considération de tous les effets néfastes et du caractère attentatoire aux libertés publiques de cette loi que le Conseil National pour la Sauvegarde de la Patrie a décidé de l’abroger’’ conclut le communiqué du Secrétariat général du gouvernement du Niger.
